The ferry crossing from Biograd na Moru to Tkon takes only 20 minutes. Originally, Tkon used to be a fishing village specializing in gathering kunjka mussels. You can still taste them today. The most beautiful sandy beaches Tkon, Klanac and Plažine are located to the south-east from the port. There is also Sovinje, a sandy beach with an entrance fee, and one dog-friendly beach.
