If you long for a peaceful romantic holiday at a beautiful Croatian island, visit Veli Rat in the north-west of Dugi Otok. It is situated in the cove of Čuna and it has its own port so you can anchor your ship, yacht or boat here. You can go for a romantic walk to Punta Bjanka lighthouse which is 2 km away from Veli Rat. It is the tallest lighthouse of the Adriatic (42 m). There is a little chapel of St. Nicholas in the yard below where charming weddings take place. You can relax on little pebble beaches near the lighthouse. Or you can visit Sakarun, a beautiful exotic sandy beach, lying only 2,5 km away from Veli Rat.
